Wreaths Across America Dedication Ceremony
High Lawn Memorial Park and Fayette Plateau JROTC will be holding in conjunction with 1600 other cemeteries all over America a ceremony to dedicate the wreaths that have been sponsored as a way to honor area veterans buried in not only local cemeteries but Arlington National Cemetery as well. Placement of wreaths will begin 9:00 a.m. and continue until ceremony time and again there after. The Dedication & Honor ceremony will take place at the flagpole in the center of the front driveway of the cemetery just past the first mausoleum where 7 wreaths will be placed to honor the veterans of each of the branches of service along with prisoners of war and those missing in action. Candles will again be placed around the center section of the driveway and lit immediately following the ceremony.
