Trick or Treat at Hawks Nest State Park

1. General Information
   1. As many “trick or treat sites as possible” near Midland Trail Shelter
   2. This is not a trunk or treat
   3.  Children will trick or treat to each site
   4. Group should have at least two attendants in costume if possible at their site.
   5. Hawks Nest will provide a picnic table at each site
   6. Group should decorate with at least a tablecloth on tables;
   7. It’s permissible to promote business or group with banners, packets, brochures, etc.  but cannot sell or solicit from guests
   8. Group can bring a canopy for their site
   9. Group will provide candy for the trick or treaters
   10. Groups are encouraged to have games for children as well
   11. Will need a Letter of Commitment from each group willing to participate.
   12. Time:  Noon till 3 PM

2. Games/ activities intended for children of ages 0-13.
   1. Bounce house.
   2. Dart games / yard checkers / ring toss etc.
   3. Carnival games 
   4. Pony ride
   5. Pumpkin Painting, bring completed
   6. Pumpkin Carving; bring completed
   7. S’mores from Hawks Nest on open fire pits
   8. Discounted tram rides will be offered throughout the day
   9. Discount coupons to the Christmas Shoppe will be available

3. Games or activities intended for adults
   1. Fall flower arrangement contest (multiple prizes including overnight stay, dinner for two, tram and jet boat rides.  Winning arrangements to be donated to the park for decorating lodge and other facilities.)
   2. Pumpkin Painting (bring completed).
   3. Pumpkin Carving (bring completed).
   4. Pie baking competition (TBA)

4.  Games or activities for children
   1. Costume contest w/ age brackets: 0-3; 4-7; 8-10; 11-13
   2. Categories: most original, funniest, scariest
   3. Pet costume contest (dog or cat only allowed in park)

5. Hot dogs, snacks, soft drinks and walking burritos served by Hawks Nest.
6. Games at shelter
7. Music on stage
