On the third Saturday in October we jump.

On the third Saturday of October each year, Bridge Day comes to West Virginia. Out on the New River Gorge Bridge, we celebrate everything that's great about the Mountain State with WV's largest festival. Food and fun, culture and community all come together for an amazing experience, centered around the daredevil sport known as BASE jumping.  Skydivers launch themselves from the bridge, as 100,000 onlookers enjoy and explore the amazing New River Gorge.  

There are 200 vendors that come to Bridge Day, providing everything from folk art to funnel cakes.  The area’s outdoor outfitters are in full force, taking raft trips down the New River for a rapid’s-eye-view of the festivities. 876 feet above them on the bridge, rappelers ready their ropes to descend out into the air, with one special highline that’s even available to the public.
